Ron Paul on Conservative 'values'

The Republican Party’s only anti-war candidate (so far) tells Jon Stewart it’s the other candidates who have lost touch with conservative values. As Stewart points out, that could be a problem: “You appear to have consistent, principled integrity. Uh ... Americans don’t usually go for that.” Watch it here .

the inertia of the Nigerian Government

The International Federation for Human Rights ( FIDH ) and Minority Rights Group International, present the alternative report submitted by FIDH affiliated member in Nigeria, Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), at the occasion of the examination of Nigeria by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination ( Committee ) [1] and welcome the concluding observations addressed by the Committee to the Governement of Nigeria. Indeed, the concluding observations issued by the Committee largely reflect the main areas of concern put forward by CLO in its alternative report to the Committee. The experts expressed concern over the adverse effects on the environment of ethnic communities of large scale exploitation of natural resources in the Delta Region and other Rivers States, in particular Ogoni areas. nigerian future (?)

'That's important, because Nigeria earns 86 percent of its export revenue from oil, focusing its new leaders on the challenge of pacifying the country's oil-rich Niger Delta region. In coming months, the new leadership will likely restore the flow of substantial amounts of Nigeria's crude by approaching local militia leaders, who are only too glad to be rid of outgoing President Olusegun Obasanjo, with a mix of carrots and sticks. NWO...?

A few years ago, I heard someone call into a right-wing radio show to rail against the feminists, the homosexuals, the atheists, and other usual suspects. The host enthusiastically agreed. The caller then voiced the hope that the host would join him in supporting the establishment of Islamic law in America, a twist that left the host sputtering incoherently. 'These days, the idea of conservative Christians aligning themselves with radical Muslims is not a prank caller's gag but the subject of heated debate on the right. Dinesh D'Souza sparked the argument with his controversial book The Enemy at Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11 (Random House).' (Reason article ).

iran says no to bullies...

"You should not beg others for your right. As long as you retreat and show leniency, the hegemonic nature of the bullying powers is to increase their intimidation. Right must be achieved through resistance." Ayatollah Khamenei said the resistance of Iranian nation is the cause of the strength of the Islamic Republic and the realization of independence and national dignity adding, "because of this resistance, the bullying powers of the world have concluded that Iranians will never retreat from the field of danger when they should defend the truth and their rights."
