Countries That Censor The Web

There are several countries around the world that engage in internet censorship, either through government policies or other means. Some of the countries with the most restrictive internet censorship policies include:

China: The Chinese government has a strict system of internet censorship, known as the Great Firewall, which blocks access to many foreign websites and censors online content that is critical of the government or supportive of certain political or social movements.

Iran: The Iranian government blocks access to many social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, and monitors online activity for political dissent.

North Korea: The North Korean government strictly controls internet access for its citizens and only allows a small number of government-approved websites.

Russia: The Russian government has passed laws that allow it to block access to websites that it deems to be "extremist" or critical of the government.

Turkey: The Turkish government has blocked access to many social media sites and websites critical of the government, particularly after the failed coup attempt in 2016.

Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Arabian government blocks access to many websites and censors online content that is critical of the government or against Islamic teachings.

These are just a few examples of countries with internet censorship policies, and there are many other countries around the world that engage in similar practices to varying degrees.
